John and Julie Hartley
417 Youth Sports, LLC (Owners)
John has been involved in the Springfield Area Baseball scene since the 1960’s. Raised through the Kiwanis Park Board system and part of the Central HS 1974 Quarterfinal team, Poppa Hart began coaching baseball in 1979 and has worked for Kickapoo Legion, Willard High School and Legion, College of the Ozarks, the Midwest Nationals and now 417 Youth Sports. Along the way, John was inducted into the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1996, the Midwest Nationals Hall of Fame as Head Coach of the 2005 Premier Nationals Championship team and as the 1st Inductee into the Willard Legends of Baseball. John was inducted into the Missouri State Sports Hall of Fame in 2021. Julie also comes with Athletic History by spending 12 years as the Assistant Athletic Director at Willard High School.
Tyler Hartley
417 Baseball (Owner / Director of Recruiting)
Tyler is a 2008 graduate of Willard HS where he was a two time All State Outfielder for Hall of Famer John Hartley & Current Coach Scott McGee as well as a 4 year member of the Midwest Nationals for Randy Merryman. He accepted a Full Ride Scholarship to College of the Ozarks to play baseball, where he was a 2 time All Conference Outfielder there. His career was cut short with hand surgeries and he came home to finish his B.S. in Kinesiology at Missouri State University. He has coached 4 seasons at New Covenant Academy as the Associate Head Coach, 5 years with the Midwest Nationals, 5 years with 417 Baseball, and 1 year as an owner of Marucci Midwest. Tyler is in charge of rosters, schedule, and all recruiting for 417 Baseball. Tyler is also an owner of Heart of America Tournaments. Tyler lives in Springfield, MO with his wife Ashten, & daughters, Aubree & Remi.
Alek Sullivan
417 Baseball Director (15u-18u)
Alek comes to 417 with years of playing experience both within the 417 family as well as the collegiate level. Alek's enthusiasm for training our players to be ready for the next level of play is contagious. Alek oversees our 15u-18u teams throughout the season.
Tucker Johnson
417 Baseball Director (8u-11u)
Tucker comes to 417 as a wonderful coach to our youth players. Focusing on the 8u-11u teams, Tucker has demonstrated he has a passion to teach the game to the next generation and build a love of the game that keeps our boys playing all the way through.
Colton Casteel
417 Catching Director (8u-18u)
Colton has a knack for teaching our catchers the joy of the hardest position on the diamond. His passion for the sport and these players is evident in every conversation and lesson.
Holden Sabor
A local standout SS at Ozark High School (2021), Holden continued his playing career with 2 solid seasons at State Fair Community College. Now in his 3rd year of coaching 417, Holden enjoys sharing his passion for the game.
Ryan Retone
A local standout from Nixa High School, Ryan is continuing his playing career at State Fair Community College. Entering his 2nd year of coaching at 417, Ryan is looking forward to making every player better.
Jackson Vestal
After a standout career at Marshfield HS, Jackson stayed local as he currently pitches at Baptist Bible College. Jackson's love of the game is contagious as he ventures into his 3rd year of coaching for 417.
Jason Iseminger
A Hillcrest grad with a strong baseball family pedigree spanning MLB, MiLB, and D1 athletes, Jason has coached local youth baseball for 5 years. This season, he joins 417 baseball alongside his son Lincoln, who continues the family legacy on the field.
Dylan Blem
Dylan had a great playing career at MCE and 417 Baseball, now playing for Baptist Bible College. In his 3rd year as a 417 coach, you can often find Dylan at the Dugout teaching private lessons to develop players.
Logan Johnson
Logan enters his 2nd year of coaching for 417 baseball. As a 2022 graduate from Republic, Logan has continued to demonstrate his love for the game. Outside of the diamond, you can find him golfing, fishing and hanging out with friends.
Russell Butts
Before a career-ending injury, Russell signed a Single-A contract after playing college, high school and legion ball. With over a decade of coaching experience, is passionate about developing young players for success.
